The Classics department is running a trip to Greece between 5th an 10th April 2027. The visit will be based in Athens, Delphi and the Peloponnese, and will offer students the chance of visiting many iconic ancient sites.
The trip is open to all students from the current A year and above. There are 40 places for this trip and approval will be based on good conduct in lessons and around the college and good attendance. If more students apply than there are places available, priority will be given to students who are studying or have studied GCSE Latin, and then selection will take place by means of a lottery.
It should be mentioned at the outset that a lot of walking will be expected from the students (and staff!) and students should consider this when deciding whether to apply for a place on this trip. There will be a parents’ meeting to discuss issues about the trip closer to the time of departure.
Accommodation will be based on four students sharing a room in 3* hotels in Delphi (one night) and Tolon (4 nights), with breakfast and evening meal provided whilst in Greece. Lunches will not be provided, but there will be opportunities every day to buy lunch either from a shop or from a café.
The total guide price is £995 which will include the following:
