Students in Freman College sixth form make above average progress relative to national figures. The most recent validated value added score for Freman College Sixth Form results is +0.16. This put Freman College Sixth Form in the top 20% of schools nationally.

In 2024 the average A Level grade achieved by our students was B, with an average point score of 39.06. This compares to a national average of 34.2 (C+) in 2023. National average figures for 2024 will be published soon.

The average grade achieved by our Cambridge Technical students was Distinction.

Our student retention figures are very high compared to national, with 94% of students who start with us in Year 12 completing their courses in Year 13 (2019-24 data).

Students who enter Sixth Form without a Grade 4 in GCSE Maths or English are supported through small-group tuition to prepare for resit opportunities.

Students value the care that is taken to provide them with a broad range of leadership roles. They proudly wear their prefect badges and enjoy the opportunities to work with students from Years 9 to 11. Students are acutely aware of their responsibilities as the oldest students in the college.
