The Director of Education in Herts congratulates Freman on its "wonderful KS4 results"

Today we received a letter from the Director of Education Services in Hertfordshire congratulating us on our “wonderful KS4 results.” (GCSE) Rachel Macfarlane went on to say “Your Attainment 8 score is very impressive and your indicative Progress 8 score was very strong also.”
Attainment 8 is the grades that the students achieved across 8 subjects. Progress 8, however, is the measure that we value. This is the progress the students make in the time they are with us and recognises all abilities.
We have to agree with Ms Macfarlane’s statement that “hard work, commitment and no excuses culture … lie behind outcomes like these.”
