Welcome back Owen Groves!

We were delighted to welcome back to Freman College ex-student, Owen Groves, who came in to speak to our Lower Sixth as part of their Personal Finance Programme. Each week this half-term, students have been learning about the importance of careful research into savings and investment products, and how to borrow money safely with credit cards, overdrafts and personal loans. Owen left the Sixth Form after completing his A Levels in 2018 and is now working as an Economist at Bank of England. He was able to explain to us the work the Bank of England does to keep the UK economy in motion and how this directly affects the interest rates on our savings and borrowing. We really appreciate the fascinating insight he gave us in the bank's role and how it impacts all of our lives.
