A fabulous end to the school year at Freman

The final day of term was a fantastic celebration of everything that makes Freman such a special school community.
Congratulations go to Hepworth House, who claimed the Summer Sports Trophy, helping them to secure this year's Sainsbury's Cup. This is a wonderful achievement for the house, and we offer our congratulations to Ms Lord and all of the students and staff who contributed to their success throughout the year.
Students then enjoyed a day packed with fun and friendly competition. Tutor groups took part in traditional games of rounders, alongside newer activities including tutor quizzes and Taskmaster-style challenges. The day provided plenty of opportunities for teamwork, laughter, and memorable moments as we brought the academic year to a close.
However, the day also gave us the opportunity to celebrate and say farewell to a very special member of the Freman family. After 22 years of dedicated service, we said goodbye to Ms Jones, whose leadership and commitment have helped shape the college into the thriving school it is today.
During her time at Freman, Ms Jones served as Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and ultimately Headteacher. Her unwavering care for students, staff, and the wider school community has made a lasting impact on countless lives, and she leaves an extraordinary legacy.
We thank Ms Jones for everything she has done for Freman and wish her every happiness and success in the future. She will be greatly missed by all.
We wish all our students, staff, and families a happy, restful, and safe summer break, and we look forward to welcoming many of you back in September for another exciting year.
