As part of our package of career guidance, all Sixth Form students are offered the chance to have an individual interview with a careers advisor from the Connexions careers service. These can take place at any point in the year, but we recommend getting it in early, so that there is plenty of time to act on the advice before getting into the swing of applications for university, apprenticeships or employment. Students should see a member of the sixth form staff to arrange an interview.
We now have a range of print resources in The Loft, including:
'What rocks your world?' – Jenny Mullins
'What next after school?' – Elizabeth Holmes
'The A-Z of careers and jobs' – Edited by Susan Hodgson
'Not going to Uni'
'Ultimate guide to Apprenticeships, School leaver Programmes & Sponsored degrees'
Working in engineering. – Professor Tony Price with Dr Sophie Reissner-Roubicek
