A busy time for Freman's Sixth Form students
Posted: November 01, 2017
Whilst the Upper Sixth are sitting their trial exams the Lower Sixth Dragons Apprentice team have been busy fundraising for Buntingford based charity, The Muscle Help Foundation. Having been challenged to turn £100 into £1000 or more they kicked off proceedings with a Halloween Charity Sale. This was followed by an assembly on 31st October to further raise awareness of the work of the inspirational muscular dystrophy charity, led by Michael McGrath, www.musclehelp.com. On Friday 3rd November a non-uniform fundraising day will tie in with House Cross Country, which will see around 600 students running to Throcking and back, always a spectacular sight to see! The team will follow this up with a stall at the Buntingford late night shopping evening on 24th November, where they will be selling children’s puzzles and Christmas gifts. Please come along and support this worthwhile charity.
The Freman College Amnesty International Group are also active, holding their annual Quiz Night on 2nd November at 7pm. This will be followed by 40 Sixth Form students competing in the Senior Maths Challenge on Tuesday 7th November.
